Job Summary
Front End Team Lead manages daily direction of department associates in a Bass Pro Shops retail setting, coordinating merchandising, inventory control, pricing, staffing, and customer service to meet departmental sales and service goals. Responsibilities include staffing, interviewing and training, preparing schedules, executing merchandising directives and planograms, maintaining pricing and UPC integrity, coaching associates, delivering a high level of customer service, conducting product demos, promoting programs (e.g., CLUB Membership, VOC, In-Store Pick-up), and supporting leadership in achieving sales and payroll targets. Requires High School Diploma or equivalent and 2–4 years of supervisory retail experience; strong interpersonal and presentation skills; proficiency with PC-based tools and POS/inventory systems; willingness to work full time with travel as applicable. Required Qualifications
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- 2 to 4 years in Retail Sales Supervisory experience is a plus
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages; ability to read and analyze reports; ability to present information to groups; proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and electronic point of sale and inventory management systems; strong interpersonal skills; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Experience with interviewing, training, scheduling, and performance management
- Knowledge of merchandising directives, pricing integrity, and UPC accuracy
- Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups
