Job Summary
Front End Specialist (Part Time) at Ollie’s, focused on assisting customers, front-end operations, merchandising, and store maintenance. Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating the register, training new Front End Specialists, promoting and answering questions about promotions, assisting with receiving/merchandising, maintaining a neat front end, communicating customer needs to Team Leaders, and supporting donation programs. Requires retail experience, ability to work evenings/weekends/holidays, strong communication, organization, attention to detail, and physical ability to lift up to 50 lb, stand long periods, and perform occasional bending and ladders use. Required Qualifications
- Minimum of six months’ retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business preferred
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities and work within strict timeframes and deadlines
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills
- Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and Associates
- Physical requirements: lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, bend/twist/kneel/climb ladders occasionally
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
