Job Summary
Front End Specialist I (FeS I) assists customers and helps to maintain the store appearance, with primary focus on front-end operations. Responsibilities include greeting customers, operating the register, assisting with training new Front End Specialists, knowing promotions/advertisements, supporting promotions and donation programs, maintaining a neat front end, assisting with receiving the truck, pricing items, merchandising products, recovering the store, communicating customer needs to Team Leaders, maintaining store cleanliness, and completing additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 6 months’ retail experience in a mid-size to large retail service-oriented business preferred
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis
- Open scheduling availability
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to exercise sound judgment
- Ability to preserve confidentiality of information
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Ability to read, write and speak English
- Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks and activities and work within strict timeframes and deadlines
- Knowledge of industry terms and processes
- Outstanding interpersonal and listening skills
- Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and Associates
- Physical requirements: lift up to 50 pounds, push/pull up to 35 pounds, stand for extended periods, etc.
