Job Summary
Front End Manager responsible for the overall success of the Front-End department, including leadership, financial stewardship, customer service, merchandising, training, hiring, and performance management. Manages department operations, sets service expectations, ensures compliance with alcohol sales and food safety regulations, maintains inventory and back stock, analyzes labor and margin goals, and collaborates with the department manager to schedule and optimize resources. Requires 2+ years of supervisory or management experience in retail or grocery, proficiency with MS Office and POS/inventory software, and a track record of leading a diverse team to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years supervisory or management experience in retail or grocery required
- Knowledge of MS Office; working knowledge of POS, inventory or retail software
- Experience in managing front-end operations, cash handling and customer service standards
- Ability to lead, train, coach, and develop staff; promote inclusive work environment
- Knowledge of alcohol sales and other state/local regulations
- Strong understanding of labor, sales and margin goals; ability to plan and schedule accordingly
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Ability to physically perform tasks in a grocery environment (standing, lifting up to 50 pounds)
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
