Job Summary
Operate front-end loader in raw clay storage area and crushing units to maintain proper clay quantity and quality. Complete pre-shift safety inspections of loader, crusher, and work area, then assist with daily routine maintenance and keep work zones clean. Monitor equipment performance, modify processes to meet internal customer needs, and report abnormal conditions or machine defects to relief personnel and team leaders. Adhere strictly to all safety rules, regulations, and precautions while wearing required PPE in a dusty, loud industrial environment. Perform other duties as assigned and participate in improvement activities.
Required Qualifications
- Must meet the assessment requirements.
- Possess experience in operating front end loader in a safe manner.
- Possess knowledge required to monitor performance of equipment.
- Must understand all safety requirements and other communications.
- Must satisfy the spirit of WE CARE.
- Must be able to stand for the duration of the shift
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds frequently
- Bending, reaching, twisting, stooping, walking, and climbing stairways and ladders frequently
- Good sight and hearing to avoid hazards
- Must be able to communicate by radio
- Must be able to function in the required role while wearing appropriate PPE including, but not limited to: seat belts, safety glasses, hearing protection, hard hat, dust mask, protective coveralls, and other as may be required by a hot/cold, dusty, loud industrial environment.
- Must meet all physical requirements of the position.
