Job Summary
Direct traffic flow for speedy checkout and provide unparalleled guest service; maintain consistent coverage of Self Checkout activities and ensure accurate sales capture; open additional checkout options; assist cashiers; create and manage daily schedules and control sheets; dictate break/lunch plan while maintaining Front End coverage; monitor cash control procedures; assist Front End Leader with auxiliary front-end lines of business; own the Front End when the Front-End Leader isn’t on duty; act as point person for Front End; ensure daily compliance activities and own specified topics (AML, scale/PIN pad checks, WIC); order front end supplies with cost awareness; train and coach Front End Team Members on efficiencies, service culture, and loss prevention; support Front End Leader with special projects and champion assignments; Giant Eagle and regional offices emphasize a family-oriented culture and growth opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 1 to 3 years in related role
- Age: at least 21 years old
- Annual certification required
