Job Summary
Conduct daily front-end truck operations on assigned commercial and multi-family residential routes, safely collecting solid waste and recyclables. Open gates, position 3–4 yard containers on castors, and transport loads to designated disposal or transfer sites. Perform thorough pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, submit required reports and logbooks per DOT regulations, and interact courteously with customers while clearing loose debris. Maneuver trucks in tight spaces using mirrors, GPS, and route guidance. Requires valid CDL, one year commercial truck driving experience, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs repeatedly.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
- Minimum of one (1) year commercial truck driving experience OR a CDL school certificate
- Ability to safely maneuver equipment, follow lockout/tagout procedures, and satisfy safety-sensitive function criteria
- Ability to sit up to 75% of the day while driving
- Ability to repetitively push, pull, lift, or carry up to 50 lbs (and occasionally up to 100 lbs or roll containers up to 300 lbs)
- Ability to frequently enter/exit the cab, climb to inspect loads, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Valid work authorization in the country where the job is located
- Prior experience in the waste, refuse, or environmental services industry is highly preferred and considered for top-tier starting pay
