Job Summary
Design and develop frontend systems to increase functionality and usability, building features from conceptualization to realization. Operate on Linux-based deployed sensor codebases while collaborating with ML/AI, Data Science, RF, and infrastructure teams to enhance detection technology. Implement system requirements from algorithm engineers to UI/UX designers, maintaining operational responsibility for the codebase. Requires 5+ years of JavaScript/React experience, Python or Go proficiency, and familiarity with Docker and GitLab. Based in Sydney CBD with a BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study or equivalent practical experience
- At least 5+ years of experience as a Front End Developer
- Solid understanding of JavaScript
- Comfortable writing Python or Go
- You are a lifelong learner
- You're self-taught and continuously learning
- You are interested in keeping up with current best practices in your areas of expertise
- You are experienced working with modern infrastructure and tools
- You are comfortable running your software in Linux environments
- You know and care about sound engineering practices like continuous delivery, defensive programming and automated testing
Desired Qualifications
- Solid understanding of JavaScript (ideally React as a framework)
- Familiarity with Docker and GitLab is favourable
