Job Summary
Front End Associate / Cashier responsible for providing exceptional customer service and accurately processing transactions at the register. Duties include greeting customers, assisting with locating products, handling cash/credit/debit payments, balancing the register, issuing refunds/changes, scanning items, applying coupons/promotions, bagging groceries, maintaining a clean checkout area, restocking supplies, reporting equipment issues, and supporting other front-end operations. Requires attention to detail, strong math and communication skills, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and basic computer/POS proficiency. Part-time role with benefits such as 401k, life insurance, and other plans; must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds; evenings/weekends/holidays may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Minimum 18 years of age
- Previous cashier or retail experience is a plus but not required
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to handle transactions accurately and efficiently
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with POS systems
