Job Summary
Greet guests with a smiling face, operate cash registers and electronic scanners, and process payments for cash, checks, debit cards, credit cards, or gift cards. Suggestively sell items, offer add-ons, and redeem coupons while ensuring proper pricing and accurate change. Bag merchandise, assist with carry-outs, and monitor checkout stations for necessary tools. Resolve guest complaints with courtesy, answer questions, and maintain a clean work area. Stock shelves, check price tags, and prepare assigned areas for inventory as needed. Full-time roles are 35 hours per week; part-time is up to 25 hours. Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday and 80% or more of all shifts. Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit and Food Handlers Permit required. High school diploma or GED preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED)
- Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit
- Valid Food Handlers Permit (in some cases)
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos
- Ability to communicate with and understand coworkers and guests
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals
- Ability to calculate discounts and percentages
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday
- Must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week
- Must be able to stand for most of shift
- Must be able to bend and walk occasionally
- Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers to feel, handle, reach, and lift
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more occasionally
- Must be able to push and/or pull 50-100 pounds or more occasionally
- Must be able to climb and balance
- Must be able to communicate and understand
- Must have close vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must be able to adjust focus
- Must be over the age of 21
- Must be able to work outside of scheduled time without District Manager approval is prohibited
