Job Summary
Greet guests with a smiling face, operate cash registers and electronic scanners, and process various payment methods including cash, checks, and cards. Suggestively sell items, redeem coupons, and weigh produce while ensuring proper pricing and accurate barcode scanning. Bag or box merchandise, assist with carry-outs, and monitor checkout stations to ensure tools are stocked. Resolve guest complaints with courtesy, check identification for legal sales, and maintain a clean work area. Perform assigned inventory tasks, manage till balances, and follow all safety regulations. Maintain uniform standards and demonstrate core values daily.
Required Qualifications
- Valid TABC Beverage Sellers Permit
- Valid Food Handlers Permit
- High school diploma or a general education degree (GED)
- Ability to read, comprehend, and write simple instructions or memos
- Ability to communicate with and understand coworkers and guests
- Bilingual skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in both whole numbers and in fractions and decimals
- Ability to calculate discounts and percentages
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Must be available to work any shift on Friday or Saturday
- Must be available 80% or more of all shifts each week
- Must be able to stand for most of shift
- Must be able to bend and walk occasionally
- Must be able to use arms, hands, and fingers to feel, handle, reach, and lift
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly
- Must be able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more occasionally
- Must be able to push and/or pull 50-100 pounds or more occasionally
- Must have close vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have the ability to adjust focus
- Must be over the age of 21
