Job Summary
Front Door Waste Technician at Cortland responsible for daily waste collection and onsite disposal at a multifamily apartment community. Duties include collecting resident waste bags, transferring waste to designated vehicles, operating compactors, maintaining clean and safe common areas, and walking routes to provide valet trash services. Requires adherence to EPA/OSHA safety policies, professional resident interaction, and accurate reporting via a mobile app. Preferred candidates have a high school diploma or equivalent and at least one year of waste services or customer-service experience, with strong communication skills and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather. Must hold a valid Class E driver’s license and have a smartphone for documentation, with physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and navigate stairs. Required Qualifications

- Ability to read and follow written instructions and operate basic equipment
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and tolerate strong odors
- Physical ability to climb stairs, walk long distances, and lift up to 50 lbs
- Valid Class E driver’s license and ability to drive locally as needed
- Personal smartphone (Android 2.2+ or iPhone iOS 4.3+) with data plan and active email for documentation
