Job Summary

Front Door Community Technician responsible for monitoring and controlling access to the building entrance, creating client identification cards, monitoring the digital camera system, and providing emergency response and crisis intervention as needed. Acts as primary point of contact for emergency responders, greets and directs individuals to appropriate services, assists clients in accessing needed services, and de-escalates situations as necessary. Based at the Jack Ryan Residence program in Manhattan with overnight and early morning shifts; 37.5 hours/week across Thursday-Monday or other listed hours. Must have a High School diploma or GED, security guard license, basic computer literacy, and strong communication skills; bilingual ability preferred; CPR and Fire Safety credentials or the ability to obtain them required.

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience working with MICA/homeless population preferred
  • Basic Computer literacy required
  • good oral and written communications skills needed
  • Security guard license required
  • Bilingual preferred
  • NYC Fire Safety Coordinator Certification and CPR Certification a plus
  • Willingness and ability to pass tests to acquire CPR and Fire Safety Credentials required
