Job Summary
Conduct front desk operations by managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling reservations, and responding to inquiries with a friendly, service-oriented demeanor. Monitor V.I.P. requests, review daily logs, and execute all phases of the front office computer system while ensuring accurate reporting on room rates and housekeeping. Enforce Aimbridge Hospitality standards, assist the General Supervisor in training new hires, and lead departmental meetings to maintain productivity above budgeted levels. Perform duties of a Front Desk Agent, manage the P.B.X. console, and oversee emergency procedures as required.
Required Qualifications
- At least 2 to 3 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver's license for the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations including ability to handle guest objections and disputes to satisfactory results
- Ability to show initiative in job performance including anticipating what needs to be done before it becomes a necessity
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
