Job Summary
Greet members, guests, and staff promptly while controlling the front door and retail area. Check members in using proper procedures, monitor for delinquent accounts, and register all guests. Answer phones by the third ring, take messages, and transfer calls to fitness consultants while following up on inquiries. Respond immediately to member requests and concerns, distribute keys and towels, and process retail and concession sales. Perform designated gym walk-thrus, log maintenance and safety concerns, and notify management of incidents. Assist with light cleaning and weight pickup as directed by the Gym General Manager or Operations Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with both staff and members
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally, non-verbally and in writing
- Understanding of basic accounting principles
- Understanding of basic cash processing procedures
- Functional computer skills
- Ability to multi-task
- Must be able to work a flexible work schedule to include holidays and weekends
- Must be able to lift 25lbs repeatedly and stand for extended periods of time
