Job Summary
Front Desk Representative at Healix Infusion Care in an Ambulatory Infusion Center in State College, PA. Responsibilities include greeting patients and caregivers, delivering excellent customer service via phone and in person, answering calls, confirming appointments, processing orders and verifying patient eligibility and benefits, communicating financial responsibilities, assisting with billing questions and patient payments, scanning and filing patient information, managing inventory and supplies, performing QA activities (pump checks, refrigerator temperature checks, and center cleanliness), supporting community resources, and assisting with sales and marketing activities as requested. Requires strong communication, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfort with medical terminology and HIPAA; proficiency with Microsoft Office and EMR systems; BLS/CPR certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- One year experience in a medical office setting with front office duties preferred
- Prior experience with medical order entry or insurance verification is preferred
- In lieu of medical office experience, one to two years’ experience in a customer service role will be considered
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations preferred
- Excellent customer service and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently, problem solve, and multi-task in an office-based setting
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams
- EMR and other medical software experience preferred
- BLS/CPR certification is a plus
