Job Summary
Front Desk Receptionist role providing essential administrative support in a fast-paced medical practice. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, registering patients, updating demographics and financial information, managing provider calendars, facilitating patient flow, data entry and processing, accounts receivable/payable monitoring, updating records, reviewing insurance eligibility and authorizations, preparing daily reports and financial uploads, reviewing billing claims, and assisting with office tasks as needed. Required skills include strong communication, multitasking, problem-solving, attention to detail, HIPAA compliance, customer service, teamwork, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED and 2+ years of relevant medical administration experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- 2+ years of administrative support experience in a medical environment preferred
- Knowledge of health insurance processes (pre-authorization, insurance verification)
- Medical terminology
- CPT codes and ICD-9/ICD-10 coding preferred
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and HIPAA compliance
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and general computer systems
