Job Summary
Front desk coordinator/Medical Receptionist role supporting patient flow and operations in a medical office. Responsibilities include greeting patients, answering calls, scheduling appointments, liaising among insurance providers, patients, and physicians, performing clerical duties, ensuring HIPAA compliance, maintaining confidentiality of information, supporting the Practice Manager, contributing to patient safety and patient experience improvements, and assisting with community education or marketing projects as needed. Requires organization, communication, and multitasking in a fast-paced healthcare environment; associates degree preferred and 1-3 years in a healthcare receptionist/front-desk role preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree preferred
- 1-3 years’ Experience at a healthcare facility in a Medical Receptionist or Front desk role preferred
- Working knowledge of medical terminology, HIPAA regulations, ICD and CPT coding (highly preferred)
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
- Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills
- Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information
- Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills
- Passionate about the Patient Experience
