Job Summary

Welcome patients, visitors, and vendors while directing them appropriately to ensure a positive first impression. Complete all required documentation, including intake forms and consents, and accurately enter patient demographics into the EMR system. Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, referrals, and authorizations prior to service, then process product sales and collect financial responsibilities such as co-pays and outstanding balances. Greet patients at check-out, review provider orders to coordinate follow-up care, and schedule appointments or create recalls as needed. Maintain patient flow, keep the office clean and organized, and balance daily collections while adhering to HIPAA and OSHA compliance standards. Work in a fast-paced dermatology clinic environment with frequent interactions with patients, providers, and staff.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Knowledge of medical terminology
  • Knowledge of insurance verification
  • Knowledge of scheduling processes

  • Accuracy in data entry
  • Accuracy in financial transactions

Desired Qualifications

  • 1–3 years of medical front office or customer service experience
  • Dermatology or specialty clinic experience
  • Experience with EMR/practice management systems
