Job Summary
Front Desk Receptionist at a cardiology-focused clinic environment. Responsibilities include greeting patients and visitors, managing check-in/check-out, answering a multi-line phone system, scheduling/rescheduling/confirming appointments, verifying demographics and insurance, collecting co-pays, providing information to patients and providers, submitting treatment authorizations and referrals, maintaining patient records in EMR/EHR, ensuring HIPAA compliance, and supporting clerical duties and office operations. The role emphasizes patient-centered service, accurate documentation, coordination with clinical and administrative teams, and maintaining a clean, professional reception area. Must be fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or Spanish, with at least 1 year of front desk experience in outpatient settings and solid communication and organizational skills.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of Front Desk experience at an outpatient primary care or specialty clinic
- High school diploma or GED
- Fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese, and/or Spanish
- Experience managing a multi-line phone system, scheduling appointments, and coordinating front desk operations
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and commitment to patient confidentiality
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Customer service-oriented with professional demeanor
