Job Summary
Open and close the building, screening and signing in all visitors, clients, guests, volunteers, and vendors while monitoring security alarms, cameras, and access control systems. Greet staff and notify them of arrivals, securing authorization before visitors leave the lobby. Document and report unusual occurrences, maintain all logbooks including visitor, staff, vendor, and protestor logs, and monitor lobby supply levels by restocking and reordering materials. Prepare daily appointment sheets for Auburn Medical and Surgical Center, provide basic clerical support via email, and act as the primary contact for relaying information to appropriate personnel. Support on-call coverage for Facilities and Security Teams, working flexible hours including evenings and Saturdays.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED
- Previous experience as receptionist
- Ability to project professional appearance
- Demonstrated skills in working with the public and excellent customer service
- Good verbal and written communication skills, including basic clerical and math skills
- Able to write and speak English
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment
- Ability to manage several tasks simultaneously with a strong attention to detail
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office products in support of daily administrative and clerical tasks
- Ability to function well as a team member, including a high level of self-awareness, honesty, and empathy in interpersonal interactions
- Demonstrated ability to treat everyone with respect and sensitivity and to effectively communicate across differences related to race, class, age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, religion, ethnicity, national origin or ability
- Ability to communicate professionally with individuals of diverse backgrounds in a non-judgmental manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sensitivity in dealing with client's sexuality and reproductive healthcare choices
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and Saturdays
- Ability to lift and /or move up to 25 pounds
- Ability to get to the work site, PPSWO health centers and meetings when required
