Job Summary
Greet patients warmly and build rapport through in-person and phone interactions. Screen and answer incoming calls promptly; take messages, and relay information as needed. Verify outpatient therapy insurance benefits (where applicable) and advise patients of financial responsibilities such as co-pays, deductibles, or co-insurance. Manage incoming physician referrals and prescriptions; communicate first visit expectations to new patients. Scan insurance cards, ID cards, and relevant paperwork into patient files. Collect co-pays and deductibles, provide receipts, balance daily collections, and submit charges to the Clinic Manager. Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming clinic environment; sanitize spaces according to CDC guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Recent customer service experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
- Reliable, honest, and adaptable in fast-paced team environments
