Job Summary
Welcome and greet patients and visitors; respond to incoming phone requests from patients, physicians, and hospitals. Schedule appointments in person or by telephone while verifying schedules, insurances, and patient packets. Document demographic information, collect payments, and verify insurance coverage, benefits, and financial responsibility in the patient EHR. Maintain reception areas, coordinate patient referrals, and notify providers of patient arrivals. Protect patient confidentiality and handle difficult interactions with sound judgment. Requires a high school diploma, valid driver's license, strong computer skills, and previous medical office experience preferred. Available Monday through Thursday with Fridays off.
