Job Summary
Audit daily accounting records, track room revenue and occupancy statistics, and prepare end-of-day summaries of cash, check, and credit card activities for the hotel's financial reports. Post room charges, taxes, and guest transactions to accounts, process vouchers, and balance transfers within the property management software. Greet guests, verify payments, issue keys, and manage reservations while handling inquiries regarding hotel services, dining, and travel. Monitor promotional programs, record guest comments, and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance staff to ensure accurate room status and guest satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or GED
- One year of hotel front desk experience
- Experience handling cash
- Experience with accounting procedures
- Experience with general administrative tasks
- Full proficiency in Microsoft programs including Excel, Word
- Ability to multi-task and problem solve effectively
- Maintains all current licenses and certifications
- Be familiar with all Hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately
- Maintains high standards for work area and appearance
- Presents self in a highly professional manner to staff and guest
- Available days, evenings, weekends, holidays and extended hours as business dictates
- Must be able to stand, move and work throughout the office area and property, including walking up to 1 1⁄2 mile
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must be able to sit at a desk/workstation for the duration of the shift
- Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
