Job Summary
Compile and reconcile cashier reports to create a master report, post revenues to posting masters, and settle all credit card accounts. Precisely follow audit procedures to verify accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings, correcting errors or listing discrepancies for adjustment. Oversee the front desk operation during the overnight shift (typically 9pm-7am) by checking in and out guests efficiently, answering phone calls, and monitoring cash-handling employees. Document guest concerns in the shift report, handle disputed charges and refunds, and alert personnel for maintenance or supply needs. Maintain a well-organized front desk while ensuring proper identification and payment verification for all guests.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
- At least 18 years of age
- Basic computer proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and the ability to learn hotel property management systems
- Basic mathematical skills with the ability to accurately perform calculations, reconcile financial transactions, and balance reports
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during overnight shifts
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality while handling guest information and financial records
- Ability to obtain and maintain any required gaming license, if applicable
- Ability to work overnight, weekends, holidays, and other shifts as business needs require
- Must be able to stand and walk frequently throughout the workday
- Ability to bend and lift up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Ability to tolerate various scents, noises, and bright lights
