Job Summary
Front Desk & Night Auditor serves as the guest liaison for resort and non-resort services across Ocean House Collections properties. Responsibilities include checking guests in and out, handling reservation inquiries, books future reservations, acting as concierge when necessary, balancing nightly credit card transactions, reconciling reports, conducting security/area checks, answering guest requests, and providing local area information. The role requires hospitality excellence, pro-active guest engagement, and upholding Forbes 5-Star standards. Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years related experience, a high school diploma or GED, proficiency with MS Word/Outlook/Excel (Maestro preferred), and fluency in English. Shifts include evenings (3-11pm) and overnight (11pm-7am) with a 24/7 operation during peak season; flexibility to work weekends and holidays is expected. The position is full-time hourly at Weekapaug Inn in Weekapaug/Westerly, RI, with a salary range of $18.50-$20.50 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; or 1-3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel; Working knowledge of Maestro is preferred
- Experience in a guest-facing service role preferred
- Luxury hospitality experience preferred
- Time spent in a high-pressure, high-volume atmosphere preferred
- Fluency in English both verbally and in writing
- Ability to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed, and accuracy under pressure of tense/confrontational situations
- Prioritize and organize tasks and work area
- Maintain confidentiality of guest/staff information and pertinent company data
