Job Summary
Respond to all guest requests, handle complaints, and maximize room revenue by analyzing daily occupancy and rate efficiency. Motivate, coach, and discipline Front Desk personnel while conducting interviews, performance appraisals, and rotational training. Supervise the Night Audit function, manage payroll schedules, and ensure compliance with Avion Hospitality S.O.P.'s for purchasing and credit policies. Operate the Front Office computer system, monitor the P.B.X., and coordinate reservations with up-selling techniques. Maintain key control, process laundry, and manage VIP requests while fostering open communication across departments.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in Company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license from the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information, data, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by coworkers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data
- Ability to perform basic arithmetic functions
- Valid drivers' license
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle background check
