Job Summary
Respond to all guest requests, complaints, and accidents at the Front Desk or through Reservations while following up to ensure satisfaction. Motivate, coach, counsel, and discipline Front Desk personnel according to Aimbridge Hospitality S.O.P.'s, and prepare and conduct all interviews and performance appraisals. Maximize room revenue by reviewing daily status, analyzing rate efficiency, and monitoring credit reports. Supervise the Night Audit function, maintain key control systems, and ensure accurate cash handling. Operate all Front Office computer systems, including software maintenance and report generation, while monitoring P.B.X. console usage and reservation processes. Prepare employee schedules based on business forecasts, review payroll hours, and submit wage progress reports to the General Manager weekly. Greet all guests approaching the Front Desk, coordinate messages and mail delivery, and maintain the "Lost and Found" procedures. Establish and maintain an organized filing system for purchases, vouchering, and tracking logs.
Required Qualifications
- At least 5 years of progressive experience in a hotel or a related field
- 2-year college degree and 3 or more years of related experience
- 4-year college degree and at least 1 year of related experience
- Supervisory experience
- Proficiency in Windows operating systems
- Proficiency in company approved spreadsheets
- Proficiency in word processing
- Valid driver's license from the applicable state
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Ability to evaluate and select among alternative courses of action quickly and accurately
- Ability to work well in stressful high pressure situations
- Ability to maintain composure and objectivity under pressure
- Ability to be effective in handling problems in the workplace including anticipating preventing identifying and solving problems as necessary
- Ability to assimilate complex information data etc from disparate sources and consider adjust or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need
- Ability to be effective at listening to understanding and clarifying the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to work with and understand financial information and data and basic arithmetic functions
