Job Summary
Conduct guest check-in and check-out processes, verify registration details, and balance bank posting charges. Provide information on hotel services, amenities, and room features while answering telephones and coordinating special requests. Prepare and stock food and beverage items, manage the POS system, and serve guests using suggestive selling techniques. Maintain a clean and organized environment by clearing tables and adhering to brand-specific operational policies for cash and credit card handling. Resolve problems promptly, manage difficult customer situations, and follow safety and security procedures. Work flexible schedules that may require outside regularly scheduled hours.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of one month of related experience
- Previous customer service experience in a hotel or related field
- Strong ability to read write and speak the English language
- Ability to learn quickly and work in fast paced position with constant guest interaction
- Basic computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel
- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner
- Ability to multi-task
- Ability to manage difficult or emotional customer situations
- Ability to maintain a high level of professionalism
- Knowledge of and ability to appropriately interpret and follow policies and procedures
- Knowledge of and ability to adhere to safety and security procedures
- Ability to present and express ideas and information clearly and concisely
- Ability to meet the demands of the work schedule to be at work and on time
- Ability to work outside of regularly scheduled hours
Desired Qualifications
- Previous customer service experience in a hotel or related field preferred
