Job Summary
The Front Desk Dental Assistant (RDA1) performs supportive dental procedures under the supervision of a licensed dentist, including coronal polishing, operating radiographic equipment, and chair-side assistance. Responsibilities include maintaining dental area cleanliness, sterilizing instruments, managing inventory, ordering supplies, and assisting with patient care. The position requires effective communication skills, with bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. Applicants must have a high school diploma, relevant certifications, and at least one year of dental office experience.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Certification as a Registered Dental Assistant with the California State Board of Dental Examiners
- Satisfactory completion of a Board Approved course of instruction in Coronal Polishing
- 8-Hour Infection Control Certificate
- 2-Hour Dental Practice Certificate
- Dental Radiology License
- CPR BLS certification – current and not expired
- At least one year experience as a Dental Assistant, Receptionist, or other experience in a dental office preferred
Desired Qualifications
- Bilingual – English/Spanish
- Basic computer knowledge
- Ability to type 40 wpm
- Knowledge of dental technology
- Excellent interpersonal skills
