Job Summary
Register patients upon arrival, intake new patient information, and enter and verify insurance details. Schedule appointments at check out, collect co-pays and balances, and direct patients as appropriate. Follow all written protocols, demonstrate courtesy, and work well under pressure within the patient services department. Recognize and respond to urgent situations while documenting work processes as required. Full-time 8-hour shift with 401(k), dental, health, life, vision insurance, and paid time off. Epic or Athena experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- Experience Required in Medical Reception
- Ability to communicate effectively with other staff members
- Works well under pressure
- Must be able to recognize and respond appropriately to urgent/emergent situations
- Effectively cope with typical job stress
- Demonstrate courtesy and helpfulness toward patients and their families
- Team player is a key for this role
Desired Qualifications
- Epic/Athena experience is a plus
