Job Summary
Entry-level direct care role in a community residential program providing 24/7 safety and support to adults with mental illness and substance use disorders. Responsibilities include conducting safety inspections, reporting incidents, teaching daily living skills and conflict resolution, following emergency procedures, assisting with hygiene, nutrition, and daily living needs, documenting appropriately, monitoring medications when assigned, leading skills development or activity groups, accompanying residents to medical appointments and community activities, maintaining attendance, attending meetings and trainings, and aiding clinical staff to ensure a safe, therapeutic environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to obtain and maintain Standard First Aid and CPR certification
- One year of related human services experience
- Valid NYS driver’s license may be required depending on assignment
- Work Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
