Job Summary
Front Desk Coordinator responsible for welcoming patients, managing front desk operations, and assisting clinicians to ensure a smooth, welcoming experience. Duties include patient check-in/check-out, scheduling and maximizing provider availability and treatment room usage, data entry into the EMR (Theraoffice), handling faxes and communications, processing co-pays, maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA, preparing treatment rooms, and providing patient education and support. Requires strong customer service, teamwork, and proficient use of Google Suite; prior medical office experience and familiarity with EMR systems are strongly preferred. This role is located in Saint James, NY with in-person duties and a schedule from Monday through Thursday (4PM-8PM and 2PM-6PM on specific days). The role emphasizes accuracy in scheduling, documentation, and patient care support.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED is required
- One (1) year of medical office experience preferred
- Familiarity in EMR systems a plus
- One year of experience in a customer service-oriented role is strongly preferred
- Proficiency in Google Suite is required
- Strong communication skills and ability to interact professionally
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to observe, evaluate, and record patients' conditions and reactions
- Ability to maintain professional attitude and conduct in welfare of patients
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
