Job Summary
The Medical Front Desk Clerk serves as the first point of contact for patients, assisting with check-in at kiosks and collecting necessary documents, while inputting information into the EMR system and preparing files for office visits. Key responsibilities include greeting patients, answering questions about check-in processes, scheduling follow-up appointments, and providing instructions for additional services. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to work independently or in teams, proficiency with office equipment, and a commitment to confidentiality.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Proficiency in office equipment including PC, Windows, MS Office, EMR system, and multi-line telephone
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and UCA guidelines
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience in healthcare or in a physician clinic setting
- Good working knowledge of medical terminology
