Job Summary
Versatile Medical Receptionist/Front Desk Coordinator/Office Manager/Billing Specialist needed to manage front desk operations, office management, and medical billing. Responsibilities include welcoming patients, updating records, scheduling, answering inquiries, coordinating referrals, overseeing office workflows, managing supplies and vendor relationships, supervising administrative staff, processing billing statements and claims, verifying insurance, handling patient inquiries, maintaining HIPAA-compliant confidentiality, updating EHRs, and producing reports. Requires strong communication, multitasking, attention to detail, knowledge of HIPAA and billing procedures, and proficiency with EHR and billing software. Occasional evenings/weekends may be required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- Proven experience in medical reception, front desk coordination, office management, and medical billing
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, insurance billing procedures, and electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Proficient in computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and billing software
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy laws
- Experience in supervising or training staff is a plus
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as needed
