Job Summary
Answer phones, process admissions for open skate and special events, and complete registration for Park District programs using RecTrac and POS software. Manage cash control and deposits while providing information to walk-in patrons and employees. Open, close, or work middle shifts in the office, including longer shifts during ice shows and tournaments. Clean office areas, attend mandatory trainings, and respond to emergency situations while adhering to safety procedures. Requires CPR/1st Aid/AED certification or willingness to obtain it within three months.
Required Qualifications

- Computer skills including basic knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

- Strong organizational habits
- Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision
- Must have CPR/1st Aid/AED certification or be willing to obtain certification within 3 months
- Must have ability to support and work toward the Mission Statement and Goals and Objectives of the Oak Lawn Park District
- Must be able to work longer shifts in conjunction with ice shows, hockey tournaments, competitions and special events
- To work alone on any shift as the occasion arises
- To work a varied schedule as required
- To work in stressful situations, such as busy open skates and the first days of registration
- To work with staff and patrons in a relaxed and friendly manner
- Employee must have the ability to follow and give directions
- Employee must use good judgment to assess order and importance of tasks
- Employee must possess time management and organization skills to effectively perform his/her job
- Employee must have ability to make judgments with respect to confidentiality of information and problem solving
- Employee must use good safety awareness and judgment in all aspects of this position
