Job Summary

Front Desk Attendant at Franklin Shelter (Bend, OR) — Part-Time, Non-Exempt with Swing Shift (2pm-10pm) and weekend availability. You will be the first point of contact for participants, staff, volunteers, and visitors, providing a welcoming and safe environment, assisting with inquiries, and maintaining front desk operations. Responsibilities include greeting and directing guests, logging participant check-ins, managing intake forms, HMIS data entry, coordinating messages, monitoring entry/exit, distributing supplies, resolving conflicts with de-escalation techniques, and performing general administrative tasks. The role requires strong interpersonal and communication skills, basic computer proficiency, ability to maintain accurate records with confidentiality, and a calm, responsive approach to de-escalation. Preferred experience includes 1 year of customer service/administrative work, familiarity with nonprofit/shelter settings, HMIS knowledge, trauma-informed care, and bilingual (Spanish) ability. The position emphasizes teamwork, attendance at meetings, and ongoing training in a dynamic shelter environment.
