Job Summary
Greet guests upon arrival and throughout their stay, using their names to ensure a friendly, welcoming experience. Handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently, contacting guests post-arrival to confirm room satisfaction and address any needs. Manage incoming mail per the daily shift checklist and maintain up-to-date knowledge of room rates and promotions. Greet every guest with a smile while cleaning workspaces and guest rooms as part of the team effort to ensure spotless cleanliness. Complete all operational checklists with 100% accuracy and submit accurate shift handover reports on time. Wear a clean, approved uniform and nametag while adhering to strict hospitality standards. Work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required to meet hotel demands.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
- Ability to work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
- Effectiveness at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving the concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests
- Ability to convey information and ideas clearly
- Desire to serve all guests
- Age of 18 years or older
- Willingness to work a varied schedule that may include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at the scheduled shift ending time
- Ability to clock in/out for breaks at the designated time on your schedule
- Ability to provide sufficient notice as directed by your supervisor when calling out for a scheduled shift
- Ability to stand or remain in a stationary position for long periods of time (3-4 hours at a time)
- Ability to type on and operate computers and other office machinery or devices, do 10-key operation and data entry, dial a telephone, manually manipulate objects, handles, tools, and/or controls
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, lift and transport supplies of up to 25 pounds throughout the hotel
- Ability to move throughout the hotel and the rooms
- Ability to inspect and visually observe details at close range (within a few feet) and from long range
- Ability to occasionally lift packages or general office equipment
- Ability to read, write, understand and communicate with others effectively using the English language
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
