Job Summary
Front Desk Agent at TownePlace Suites by Marriott in Long Island City, NY. The primary contact for guests throughout their stay, handling check-in/check-out, operating the reservation system and credit card processes, and maintaining accurate cash handling. Responsibilities include answering calls, taking guest messages, adhering to safety procedures, preparing room status updates for housekeeping, and providing guests with information on hotel amenities and local services. Requires strong customer service, attentiveness to detail, ability to balance cash drawer, and proficiency with basic computer and POS systems. Required Qualifications
- One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to speak English fluently.
- Ability to interpret and perform basic computer and POS system functions.
