Job Summary
Post room charges and taxes to guest accounts, process vouchers, and balance daily charges while verifying rates and correcting errors. Run end-of-day processes in property management software and prepare summaries of cash, check, and credit card activities for management. Serve as a front desk agent handling check-ins and check-outs, respond to guest requests and complaints, and maintain knowledge of emergency procedures. Work overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays in a fast-paced environment.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in basic English
- Sufficient education and literacy needed to identify and read product labels and to communicate with guests
- Ability to stand and move throughout front office and lobby while continuously performing essential job functions
- Ability to lift to 25 lbs
- Ability to work well under pressure, dealing with many arrivals and departures within a short period of time
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers both within and outside of your department
- Ability to remain discreet and respect the privacy of guests
- Ability to clearly and pleasantly communicate both verbally and in writing in English with guests, management, and co-workers, both in person and by telephone
- Ability to perform consistent work to the highest of standards
- Ability to interact with guests in a pleasant, friendly manner
- Strong customer service skills
- Basic Accounting skills and ability to compute accurate mathematical calculations
- Skilled at resolving challenges efficiently and effectively
- Detail-oriented and thorough
- Shift work is required, including overnight shifts, weekends, and holidays
Desired Qualifications
- Previously hospitality experience preferred
