Job Summary
Conduct guest registration and check-out, manage PBX operations, and handle mail and message services with accuracy. Perform daily accounting procedures, balance shift banks, and verify credit limits while following established key control policies. Check in and out guests professionally, answer all calls promptly, and assign rooms for VIPS, repeat guests, and special requests. Monitor room availability, review selling status via the yield management system, and submit lost and found reports with completed documentation. Assist with concierge services, coordinate with Sales, Housekeeping, and Bell Staff, and ensure proper credit policies are followed. Maintain a well-presented appearance and adhere to fire and emergency procedures.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- six months to one year related experience and/or training
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from guests
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Ability to operate the Property Management System
- Ability to capture email
- Ability to use the PBX system
- Ability to balance the daily shift bank
