Job Summary
Conduct front desk operations by efficiently checking guests in and out using OPERA software, accurately posting charges, and creating itineraries. Manage guest communications, handle auditing and reporting tasks, and proactively seek feedback to resolve complaints. Respond to special requests for transportation or reservations by coordinating with external providers. Maintain the lounge by clearing tables, replenishing glassware, and ensuring overall tidiness while fostering seamless teamwork across departments. Demonstrate flexibility to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Experience with OPERA
- Experience with POS systems
- Experience with Excel
- Experience with Outlook
- Able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Previous hotel front office experience
- Education completed within hospitality sector
- Professional in presentation and demeanor
- Self-motivated
- Excellent organizational skills
- Proven ability to work well under pressure
- Must have a valid Alberta ProServe certificate
- Required to stand for extended periods throughout the shift
- Repetitive hand, wrist, and finger movements (typing, data entry, processing payments, handling key cards, operating office equipment)
- Frequently reaching and extending arms to provide guests with key cards, invoices, and other documents
- Regular bending, light crouching, and twisting to access drawers, printers, office supplies, and guest amenities
- Occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of light to moderate items (e.g., guest luggage, guest packages or office supplies)
- Verbal communication requiring clear speaking and active listening for extended periods in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays based on business levels
