Job Summary
Greet, register, and check out guests while managing accounts, cash, and credit card transactions. Allocate accommodations for VIP clients, maintain strict confidentiality of guest records, and assist with luggage delivery. Conduct daily reservation audits, resolve guest complaints, and apply all credit procedures discreetly. Post charges accurately, count assigned bank funds at shift start and end, and ensure all accounts balance with credit card machines. Adhere to Firmdale security policies and handover procedures while maintaining a clean, organized workplace. Promote Firmdale hotels and restaurants and demonstrate core values of attention to detail and resilience. Work flexible shifts including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma
- hospitality training or certification
- Previous reception or customer service experience
- Excellent level of spoken and written English
- Friendly & professional telephone etiquette
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Work experience that requires a high level of attention to detail
- Available to work a flexible schedule that can include days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Be able to stand for a complete 8-hour shift, 5 days a week
- Ability to read, review, enter, and retrieve information from computer and hard copies including internal documents, guest identification documents, and internal memos
- Able to use a computer keyboard and mouse and telephone system
- Ability to communicate both written and verbal and use systems to document activities
- Always understand and adhere to the hotel security policy
Desired Qualifications
- a 2- or 4-year degree
- college degrees in hospitality
- preferably within a 4- or 5-star hotel
