Job Summary

Greet and interview patients at intake, obtaining and updating demographic and insurance information while maintaining strict security on patient data. Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate departments, then schedule and verify appointments. Register patients by verifying ID, insurance cards, and paperwork in the EMR, confirming authorization and completing all forms and waivers. Collect co-payments, issue receipts, and process refunds while maintaining a 2% error rate on billing reports. Print medical records upon request and communicate effectively with other departments regarding patient care. Ensure all ordering information is verified with the patient and referral before processing.

Required Qualifications

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • One (1) year of experience in admissions in a hospital or medical office setting
  • Must be able to lift 10 lbs or less
