Job Summary
Front Counter Equipment Rental Representative duties include assisting customers in-store and over the phone with information about equipment and stock, processing rentals and purchases, maintaining product knowledge, participating in merchandising and promotions, preparing invoices and customer statements, creating work orders for damaged equipment, verifying shipments against documents and reporting discrepancies, and keeping shelves stocked and orderly. Requires retail experience or knowledge of yard and home maintenance equipment; schedule predominantly Mon-Fri with Saturday rotation and seasonal Sunday hours; strong customer service, time management, problem-solving, and computer skills (MS Excel and Outlook) and ability to learn internal software.
Required Qualifications
- Previous experience in the retail industry or proven knowledge of yard and home maintenance equipment
- Ability to work Monday to Friday from either 8-5 or 9-6 and on a Saturday rotation with increased hours, including Sundays during the spring and summer
- Excellent customer skills
- Excellent time management and problem-solving skills
- Intermediate computer skills, including programs Microsoft Excel and Outlook, and the ability to learn our internal software
