Job Summary
Connect case management clients to healthcare, nutrition, transportation, and mental health referrals. Facilitate ongoing communication between matched seniors and volunteers while conducting a minimum of three match visits weekly. Assist with volunteer background checks, process referrals in the funder's database, and document all contacts to ensure compliance. Prepare four monthly reports and cultivate quarterly board reports. Create outreach materials and letters to engage prospective older adults and volunteers. Act as a liaison for nonclinical updates and complete assessment responsibilities when the Director is absent.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Services or related field
- One year of non-profit experience
- Bilingual, Spanish
- Excellent communication and organizational skills (written and oral)
- Proficiency in computers, as well as programs such as Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
- Excellent time management skills
- Willingness to be flexible with work schedule
- Ability to conduct community outreach to recruit new volunteers
- Demonstrate excellent public speaking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Commitment to Encore's mission, vision, and values
- Cultural competency knowledge for adapting services to the needs of the changing older adult population
- Commitment to supporting communities who have experienced systemic oppression and bias (i.e., people of color, LGBTQ+ people, immigrants, justice-involved persons, etc.)
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with Peerplace, VIVE, and AWARDS database
- Experience with the elderly population
