Job Summary
Check operation of systems including oxygen levels, complete building and equipment checklists, and support staff when loading fish as part of established routines. Monitor site activities and apply technical procedures while adhering to hatchery biosecurity protocols. Address alarm calls requiring timely transportation to the facility, with possible overtime and weekend shifts depending on business needs. This role supports Cermaq's global salmon farming operations, offering a full-time position with benefits including extended health, dental, and vision care.
Required Qualifications
- Understanding and adherence to hatchery biosecurity, procedures and protocols
- Able to learn and apply technical procedures
- Timely and reliable transportation
- Eligible for benefits upon hire including extended health, dental, and vision care, AD&D insurance; life and dependent insurance, and long-term disability insurance
- Prerequisites to hiring are a fitness assessment, reference checks, and a criminal record check
