Job Summary
Deliver Freshman Seminar curriculum aligned to the Portrait of a Future Ready Graduate, including career exploration, ICAP development, and real-world, problem-based learning experiences. Build strong, supportive relationships with students to foster belonging and support their social, emotional, and academic development as they transition to high school and plan for the future. Collaborate with academy teams and district staff to ensure curriculum alignment, monitor attendance/behavior/course performance, and support students at risk of falling off-track. Facilitate an inclusive, student-centered classroom with equity and high expectations; participate in district calibration of coursework; engage in PLCs and professional learning; support case-based learning in collaboration with the Case Experience Lead and academy teachers; communicate regularly with families to support student success and engagement; and contribute to ongoing instructional improvement in the Freshman Seminar experience.
