Job Summary
Oversee all aspects of the Freshman Girls Volleyball program, establishing a culture that emphasizes sportsmanship, teamwork, and competitive spirit. Plan and direct practice sessions and game preparations while teaching fundamental skills, advanced techniques, and team strategy. Recruit, train, and supervise a coaching staff, manage the program's budget, and ensure full compliance with IHSA and school regulations. Monitor student-athletes' academic progress and eligibility, serving as a mentor to promote spiritual and moral development. Foster relationships with local feeder programs, parents, and the community while assisting players in the college recruitment process.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- Previous successful coaching experience at the high school level or higher
- Head coaching experience
- Thorough knowledge of the sport of volleyball
- Current coaching techniques
- Game strategies
- All necessary IHSA certifications
- CPR/First Aid training
- Concussion protocol training
- Strong leadership skills
- Organizational abilities
- Outstanding interpersonal communication skills
- Willingness to fully support the mission, philosophy, and Catholic identity of Boylan Catholic High School
