Job Summary
Develop and communicate clear goals for the team and individual players while establishing a group that demonstrates good sportsmanship. Cultivate player skills specific to soccer and connect athletic experiences with life lessons to build self-esteem and positive self-image. Maintain open, honest communication with students, parents, other coaches, and the Athletic Director while promoting teamwork and collaboration among all members. Enforce the student-athlete code of conduct and support academic expectations alongside athletic development. Create and maintain a safe, healthy environment for student athletes, modeling good sportsmanship at all times. Commit to a flexible time schedule with consistent, reliable attendance.
Required Qualifications
- Excellent communication skills with parents and students
- Ability to commit to a flexible time commitment
- Consistent and reliable attendance
- First aid and CPR knowledge
- Soccer and/or coaching experience
- The employee will remain free of any alcohol or drugs throughout his/her employment with the district
